Your personal code is the only way to access your photo. Your photo can be rejected on a number of its digital properties, such as quality or size.

Due to the large volume of digital photos being processed at once, our servers can experience delayed function when transferring your photo to HMPO (His Majesty's Passport Office). How do I get my photos?

These codes can be used during the online passport application. At this point, passport photo code the system will provide 2 (two) options — regular pictures and passport photos. Going forward they’ll also be able to provide digital copies, or a photo code so that you can access the photos in the same way as other methods. You can get a friend to take a photo of you on your phone or tablet and upload it when you make an online UK passport application. The UK government is currently running a trial where they are renewing some UK passports completely online, so a digital photo is required. If you are submitting your photo digitally, then you don't need to worry about printing one, and can simply upload your photo as part of the process of applying for the new passport.
